The trembling voice from New York,
As if feeling guilty,
Said, “In Manhattan
Nektalov Eduard has been brutally murdered.”
Tears streamed from the eyes
And my (or the) heart skipped a beat in my (or the) chest
Because Eduard was a brother in essence
For the Elazarov family.
He was kind and hospitable,
Caring and honest he was.
He usually didn’t just pass by
He always hurried to help everyone.
Eduard passed away
In the prime of his life.
It’s irreplaceable loss,
And there are no words for solace.
What we can do if life is cruel sometimes.
It’s impossible to foresee it.
And along winding roads,
It always hastens us.
And who and how will be gone –
Only our Creator knows about it.
You were and you will be a close friend –
Nektalov Eduard.
And no matter how it hurts us,
We have to live with this pain.
I swear that we will be loyal to
Keep Honorable Eduard in our memory.

“Our Dearest Eduard
Fate (or destiny) has measured out to you so little,
You’ve lived only 47 years.
But apparently, that’s the Creators will,
We’re subjected to Him alone.
We won’t forget that day and that cruel hour,
When you passed away.
Your tragedy shocked
The entire world,
And we have no strength to comprehend the loss.
It hard to believe in that nightmare.
You always were so lively and strong.”

Our dear Eduard Nektalov !
Why did you leave so early?
Forgive us that we failed to save you.
Forgive us that we’re here and you’re there.
But apparently, it has been ordered so from the heaven,
And severe grief befell us.
How it’s painful and bitter
That you’re not with us.
We keep you in our memory.
Dear and beloved Eduard Nektalov!
You will stay forever
In our hearts.
Rest in peace in Paradise in the heaven.
